Understanding the concept of sets, number systems, relations, functions and its properties .

Specific Competence: student capable of

1. Explaining the concept of sets.
2. Thinking logically.
3. Proving the truth of a statement using direct proof.
4. Proving the truth of a statement using contrapositive proof.

Content

Sets, operations on set and its properties. Power sets, Logic, direct proof, contrapositive proof.

Study and examination requirements

Students are considered to pass if they at least have got final score 40 (D).

Final score is calculated as follow: 10% softskill+20% assignment + 20% Quiz + 23% midterm + 27% final exam.
