General Competence (Knowledge):

  Capable of understanding the concept of number theory.

Specific Competence: student capable of

1.      Solving problems related to the theory of divisibility of integers.

2.      Solving problems related to prime numbers and their distribution.

3.      Solving problems related to congruence theory.

4.      Solving problems related to congruency applications.

Content

Euclid’s Algorithm, Diophantine Equations, Fundamental Theory of Arithmetic, Eratosthenes Sieve, Congruence.

Study and examination requirements

Students are considered to pass if they at least have got a final score 40 (D).

Final score is calculated as follows: 10% softskill+30 % assignment + 20% Quiz + 20% midterm + 20% final exam.
