This activity represents the moral responsibility of lecturers to advance and help solve problems in society. The Mathematics Program at Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) contributes by organizing various community service programs, encompassing education, economics, and technology. One such initiative involved training and assisting in the creation of information technology-based promotional media for tourist attractions and featured regional products in Lamongan Regency. This activity was funded internally by the Faculty of Science and Technology, UNAIR.<\/p>\n\n<p>Lamongan was selected due to its excellent potential for tourism and featured products. Located on the northern coast, Lamongan boasts a series of beaches extending from east to west, presenting significant tourism opportunities. One notable tourism development is the Lamongan Marine Tourism (WBL), a play-based attraction set against a seaside backdrop. Besides coastal and marine tourism, Lamongan offers other diverse attractions such as Maharani Zoo, Sunan Drajat religious tourism, Brumbun hot springs, and various other interesting sites. Lamongan is also renowned for its seafood products, including dried fish, fish crackers, shrimp paste, and more.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" data-id=\"1450\" src=\"https:\/\/matematika.fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/04\/parag-22.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/matematika.fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/04\/parag-22.jpg 768w, https:\/\/matematika.fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/04\/parag-22-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" data-id=\"1449\" src=\"https:\/\/matematika.fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/04\/parag-21.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1449\" srcset=\"https:\/\/matematika.fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/04\/parag-21.jpg 768w, https:\/\/matematika.fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/04\/parag-21-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n<p>The community service activity by UNAIR&#8217;s Mathematics Program was focused on Kranji Village, Paciran District, Lamongan Regency. This location was chosen due to its potential tourist attractions and featured products that are not widely recognized in Indonesia. The Brumbun hot spring baths in Kranji Village, sourced from three different temperature springs, present a unique natural phenomenon with historical significance linked to the travels of Indonesian scholars during the Kingdom era. Another significant potential of Kranji Village is its market and fish auction place (TPI), which serve as economic centers for the community. With these outstanding regional potentials, it is hoped that Kranji Village can continue to grow and gain recognition across Indonesia and internationally.<\/p>\n\n<p>To realize this goal, the community service team from UNAIR&#8217;s Mathematics Program conducted training on creating websites and social media as platforms for publishing and promoting Kranji Village&#8217;s tourist attractions and featured products. The activity began with coordination with the Kranji Village government, led by the Village Head, Husnul Wafiq, S.T. This coordination resulted in agreements on the technical implementation of the training, held in September 2021. The village was responsible for preparing 20 young participants who were expected to form an IT team to manage the Kranji Village website. These participants underwent a series of pre-training activities, including a pretest and independent study using modules prepared by the community service team.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"484\" src=\"https:\/\/matematika.fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/04\/parag-4-2-1024x484.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1452\" srcset=\"https:\/\/matematika.fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/04\/parag-4-2-1024x484.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/matematika.fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/04\/parag-4-2-300x142.jpg 300w, https:\/\/matematika.fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/04\/parag-4-2-768x363.jpg 768w, https:\/\/matematika.fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/04\/parag-4-2.jpg 1040w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-5339\">Coordination with Kranji Village Government<\/p>\n\n<p>The training was conducted in-person on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at the Kranji Village Hall, adhering to health protocols. The community service team, consisting of lecturers and students from UNAIR&#8217;s Mathematics Program, arrived at the location at 8:00 AM. After making some preparations, the event began at 9:00 AM with remarks from the event&#8217;s chairperson, Cicik Alfiniyah, M.Si., Ph.D., and the Kranji Village Head. The session continued with a brief material presentation by Iqbal Syafiq Rozaan, a Mathematics Program student who served as the speaker for the training. To enhance participants&#8217; understanding, the session included hands-on website creation practice. Participants were guided by tutors from among the lecturers and students, with each group responsible for managing different pages of the website. It is hoped that this website will support the village government&#8217;s program to advance Kranji Village. The training ended at 2:30 PM, resulting in a village website ready for further management. Following the training, participants were tasked with managing and refining the Kranji Village website, with online guidance from UNAIR&#8217;s Mathematics Program community service team.
