Prof. Bonyah attended the UNAIR Mathematics Study Program virtually for the second time thanks to this possibility. He also participated in a webinar on the same subject in 2021 as a resource alongside Dr. Windarto, a lecturer at the UNAIR Mathematics Study Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About fifty UNAIR Bachelor of Mathematics and Doctorate in Mathematics and Natural Sciences students participated in the activity on Thursday, September 15, 2022. A number of the mathematics department lecturers who were interested in mathematical modeling also attended this session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Dr. Fatmawati, M.Sc., the deputy dean of UNAIR&#8217;s 3 Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), gave the opening comments for the occasion. He expressed his gratitude to everyone who came and helped make this event a success in his address. He also hopes that everything will go according to plan to the very finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/matematika.fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/04\/parag-3-6-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1798\" srcset=\"https:\/\/matematika.fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/04\/parag-3-6-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/matematika.fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/04\/parag-3-6-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/matematika.fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/04\/parag-3-6-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/matematika.fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/04\/parag-3-6.png 1366w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Nashrul Millah served as the event&#8217;s host, and M. Sisel served as moderator. Owing to intermittent network connectivity, Prof. Bonyah was presented as a recording that all attendees could view on the zoom screen. Prof. Bonyah&#8217;s main point in the content is that teachers have the power to alter their students&#8217; attitudes toward learning mathematics. &#8220;Mathematical modeling is the best solution to change Mathematics from abstract to become clear.&#8221; Additionally, he included a method for developing a model by using and altering an already-existing model, &#8220;Just select any model from a few publications if you want to create a model of everyday situations. After then, alter or rebuild them in light of your specific issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the material presentation, there was a discussion period during which Prof. Bonyah immediately responded. The plethora of questions the participants got was indicative of their eagerness.
