A socialization event for the Indonesian Smart College Card, also known as the KIP Kuliah program, was organized on Thursday, October 6, 2022, by the Undergraduate Mathematics Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, Airlangga University (FST UNAIR), targeting SMA/MA/SMK students and those in Gresik. The Smart Indonesia Program, commonly referred to as KIP, is a governmental initiative designed to assist students from low-income or vulnerable backgrounds in financing their education through financial aid, enhanced accessibility, and educational opportunities.
To engage the audience, Abdullah Jaelani, M.Sc., the lecturer leading the event, initiated a mathematical game. Given that the event took place in the afternoon after school hours, it is unsurprising that participants showed enthusiasm throughout the session.
“With the Indonesia Smart College Card program, economic constraints will no longer hinder students from pursuing higher education,” stated Abdullah Jaelani, M.Sc., in his presentation on the program’s background.
He further emphasized, “Do not surrender to life’s challenges; aspire to attain a higher education, reaching as high as the sky.”
During the event, Jaelani provided detailed explanations regarding the qualification requirements and advantages of the KIP Kuliah program for those interested in participating.
The interactive nature of the exercise received positive responses from the participants, evident in their enthusiastic engagement during the Q&A session.
