Anggita Dwi Sulistiani, a student of the Mathematics Program at Universitas Airlangga, has been awarded the title of 2nd Place in the national essay competition held as part of the Industrial Engineering 7.0 event, commonly known as Interval 7.0. This event is organized annually by Universitas Jendral Ahmad Yani, Bandung, which this year adopted the theme “Increase the Creativity by Channeling Talent and Growing an Entrepreneurial Spirit Based on Smart Technology.”
The culmination of this event took place on January 22, 2022, in the form of a webinar conducted via Zoom. During this event, the winners of the essay competition were announced. Anggita, affectionately known as Gita, admitted that there were many interesting aspects to participating in this competition. Besides earning the title of champion, Gita also gained various knowledge and new information through the webinars she attended. Furthermore, through this nationally organized event, Gita also gained many new connections from various universities across the country that share similar interests in essay writing.
Through the achievements and experiences gained in this competition, Gita hopes that in the next opportunity, she will be able to produce even better results, thereby bringing honor to Universitas Airlangga on the national stage, especially in the field of essay writing.
Gita also expressed, “Keep up the spirit in pursuing dreams and achievements, never give up no matter what happens. Remember that every moment we waste on something unproductive is utilized by others who may become our competitors, pushing us to continually hone our skills and develop into better individuals.” This is her message to all fellow students.
