On Saturday, December 26, 2022, the community service team from the Mathematics Study Program revisited Klangon village to continue their training activities focused on establishing a Village Information System (SID), which commenced in August of the same year. The objective of this endeavour is to initiate the development of a SID in the form of a website.
During this second meeting, participants continued to populate the website with content that had been prepared during the initial meeting. Eight individuals from the village IT team and members of the youth organization actively contributed to this session, preparing various reports concerning recent events and activities in Klangon village.
The participants, who also serve as website administrators, displayed enthusiasm in preparing for this activity. This was evident through the publication of diverse news articles that were directly sourced by the participants themselves. “I conducted interviews with local farmers and captured the photographs personally,” mentioned one of the participants covering agricultural activities in Klangon village.
When inquired about the sources of news, Satia, one of the training participants, stated, “We curate educational information from various sources, filtering out inappropriate data and news.”
Furthermore, this training session also marked the conclusion of community service activities in Klangon village for the year 2022. As a token of appreciation, souvenirs were presented to the Klangon village government, represented by the Village Secretary.
