The teaching and learning process is one of the activities that has a huge impact on the present and the future. The quality and achievement of students is an indicator of the quality of the school where students study. School facilitation will have an impact on student motivation in participating in scientific competitions in various fields. One aspect that can be coordinated easily is the competence of teachers in fostering students before the competition. One of the tri drama activities of higher education is community service. On this occasion, the Mathematics study program of Universitas Airlangga conducted a workshop on increasing the capacity of teachers in fostering students to participate in scientific competitions, targeting SMA/MA teachers in Mojokerto Regency.
All materials were delivered by resource persons, namely lecturers of the Mathematics Study Program of FST Universitas Airlangga who have been involved in fostering Olympic participants at the city / district, provincial and national levels. After receiving the training material, participants were given the task of doing some questions to determine their understanding of the material that had been given. Furthermore, the tasks were reviewed and feedback was given on the answers. At the feedback stage, the implementation team also conveyed the results of the evaluation of the participants’ work and the overall evaluation of the implementation of the activity. At the same time, the implementation team also presented the results of the participants’ evaluation of the implementation of the activity based on the questionnaires that had been filled in by the participants.
