It’s hard to believe that 2021 has come to an end. It’s time to close the old chapter and open a new one in 2022. Despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic last year, it didn’t dampen the spirits of UNAIR Mathematics students in competing and achieving success. Many accomplishments have been made by students over the past year. Let’s take a look at some of the cool achievements of UNAIR Mathematics students in 2021…
One of the cool achievements of Mathematics students in 2021 was participating in the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards, better known as IISMA. IISMA is a free campus program that funds Indonesian undergraduate students for mobility programs at leading universities abroad. One of these students is Aisyah Fadhilah Whardhana. She was given the opportunity to study for a semester at the University of California, Davis. Many mathematics students also passed the selection for other free campus programs, such as campus teaching, micro-credentialing for Indonesian students, and internships/independent studies. In 2021, many students also received scholarships from various parties and institutions, such as the Bank Indonesia Scholarship, Outstanding Scholarship, Salemba Empat Scholarship, and BCA Service Scholarship. Not only that, Mathematics students also successfully brought home the 1st Prize in the Scientific Paper Competition (LKTI) in the Halal Patika (food, medicine, and cosmetics) national event.
So, those are some of the achievements of the Mathematics students at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Airlangga, that were successfully achieved in 2021. What other achievements will there be in 2022? Let’s wait and see!
