The mathematics study program at Airlangga University once more hosted a guest lecturer in the area of analysis. Two analysis experts were featured at this event: Prof. Dr. Ana Maria Acu from Sibiu, Romania’s Lucian Blaga University and Dr. Eridani, a lecturer at the Unair Mathematics Study Program. This two-day event—May 25, and May 27, 2022—was part of a series of visits by a team from Lucian Blaga University, led by Prof. Dr. Ana Maria Acu and Dr. Florin Sofonea, to the Faculty of Science and Technology Unair, with the goal of establishing collaboration in research and education.

Both instructors and students from the mathematics department participated in this guest speaker event. There are two phases to the content that is provided. Dr. Eridani’s presentation on Angle and Triangle in Normed Spaces and Prof. Ana’s lecture on Approximation by Certain Positive Linear Operators occupied the first day. Dr. Eridani’s presentation on Elementary Properties of Triangles in Normed Spaces and Prof. Ana’s information potential for various probability distributions were the topics of the second day.

It is intended that cooperation between the two parties can begin with this guest lecture engagement. As a sign of the Unair Mathematics Study Program and Lucian Blaga University’s commitment to working together, there will be an increasing number of such events in the future.
