Learning goals/competencies:

General Competence (Knowledge)

capable of linking concepts on a vector space analytically.


Specific Competence:

1. Determining whether a subset of vector space is a subspace.

2. Proving theorems related to the properties of linear independence of a set of vectors.

3. Proving properties of bases and dimensions.

4. Proving properties of algebraic operations on linear transformation

5. Proving properties of linear transformations related to type of linear transformation and its relationship with the base.

6. Determining the matrix representation of a linear transformation.

7. Proving properties of the matrix representation related to change of base on their vector space.

8. Proving properties of inner product spaces.

9. Proving properties of orthogonal bases.


Vector spaces, subspaces, linear combination, spanning sets, linear independence, bases, dimensions, row spaces. Linear transformation, isomorphism on vector spaces, matrix representation. Inner product spaces, Cauchy-Schwartz inequality, orthogonality, orthonormality.

Study/exam achievements:

Students are considered to be competent and pass if at least get 40 of maximum mark of the exams (UTS dan UAS), structured activity (group discussion).

Final score (NA) is calculated as follow: 10% softskill + 20% assignment + 20% quiz + 25% UTS + 25% UAS
